About NQSA
The Nuclear Quality Standard Association is a nonprofit association jointly launched by Framatome and Bureau Veritas in January 2011. Open to major nuclear utilities, to major nuclear engineering and manufacturers and to TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification) companies, NQSA promotes the use of the ISO 19443 standard. The creation of the NQSA was prompted by the fact that many nuclear professionals were facing numerous challenges in terms of safety and quality of nuclear supply chains.
Promote the use of ISO 19443, of the accreditation referential TS 23406 & of the guidance TR4450 in the nuclear industry sector
Promote the enforcement of auditors qualification criteria and supervision requirements by ISO 19443 certification bodies
Promote the benefits and lessons learned from implementing ISO 19443 in order to raise awareness and uptake between nuclear industry actors
Collect and make available all information relating to the ISO 19443 certification process (certified companies, accredited companies, etc.) by setting up and managing an appropriate database
Define a NICCS (Nuclear Industry Controlled Certification Scheme) including, but not limited
Promote NICCS to the nuclear industry sector in order to have it adpoted and that it leads to its implementation
